Dzisiejszy wpis rozpocznę inaczej niż mam to w zwyczaju. Kilka lat temu, kiedy uczestniczyłem w paryskim tygodniu mody, zauważyłem pod Grand Palais mężczyznę ubranego w oversize’owy, granatowy płaszcz z gotowanej wełny. To, co było niezwykłe w tym okryciu to fakt, że cały był on pokryty naszywkami, łatami i innymi aplikacjami, które ówcześnie uważałem za dziwne, nieeleganckie i niepotrzebne. W tamtym czasie, zarówno kroje oversize jak i naszywki były nowością, co do której byłem przekonany, że nigdy nie wejdzie do świata mody męskiej. Ten młody Paryżanin wyczuł nosem trendy długo przed innymi. Po kilku latach naszywki, łaty i różnorakie aplikacje wkroczyły z impetem w świat mody, zarówno damskiej, jak i męskiej. Ponieważ z biegiem czasu nabrałem dystansu do siebie oraz zmienił się mój sposób postrzegania mody, z odwagą sięgnąłem po bomber jacket z najnowszej kolekcji jednego z topowych brandów.

Myślę, że jest to produkt bardzo wyrazisty i z pewnością będzie miał tylu zwolenników, ilu przeciwników. Jak się słusznie domyślacie, ja należę do tej pierwszej grupy. Modna w tym sezonie zieleń została uzupełniona jaskrawymi kolorami pod postacią naszywek i łat. Czy jest to produkt ‘młodzieżowy’, adresowany do ludzi młodych? Można tak na to spojrzeć, jednak moim zdaniem kurtka, która jest odważna, a być może wręcz krzykliwa, może być noszona jedynie przez mężczyznę świadomego swojego stylu, który wie w czym jego sylwetka się dobrze prezentuje i umie czasem odejść od schematów i pewnych kanonów swojego sprawdzonego i wypracowanego przez lata wizerunku.

Kiedy patrzę na ten model kurtki przychodzi mi do głowy określenie ‘miejska dżungla’. W ostatnim czasie, wiele marek, od luksusowych brandów po modowe sieciówki, wykorzystuje motyw przeszyć czy naszywek /łat etc. Prezentowany look jest bardzo miejski, uważam, że idealnie sprawdzi się jesienią. Myślę, że to tylko kwestia czasu, kiedy produkty z tej kategorii na stałe pojawią się na polskich ulicach. Oby tak się stało! Każdemu z nas przyda się troszkę dystansu do swojego wypracowanego wizerunku czy odpoczynku od korporacyjnych uniformów, chociażby w weekend.

Today’s entry will begin differently than usual. A few years ago, when I took part in the Paris Fashion Week, I noticed at the Grand Palais that men were dressed in oversized dark blue coats with boiled wool. What was unusual is that the garment’s were covered with patches, patches and other adornments, which at that time I thought was strange, inelegant and unnecessary. At that time, both oversize cuts and badges were a novelty, for which I was convinced that it would never come to the world of men’s fashion. This young Parisian felt the very first breath of a trend long before others. After several years,  badges, patches and various applications have now entered with a vengeance in the fashion world, both women’s and men’s. The passing of time has changed my perception of fashion, boldly I reached for the bomber jacket from the latest collection of one of the top brands.

I think this product is very expressive and certainly will have as many followers as there are opponents. As rightly guessed, I belong to the first group. Fashionable this season, Green has been complemented by bright colors in the form of badges and patches. Is it a ‘youth’ product, addressed to young people? You could look at it, but I think the jacket, which is courageous, perhaps even gaudy, can be worn only by a man conscious of his style, who knows what the figure is well presented and is able sometimes to move away from the image that he has cultivated and developed over the years.

When I look at this bomber jacket, the words ‚urban jungle’ come to mind. In recent times, many brands, from luxury brands on the fashion-chain, uses the theme of piercing or patching / patches etc. The outfit I present to you has a very urban look, I think ideally suited to autumn.

I think it’s only a matter of time when the products in this category permanently appear on Polish streets. Let it happen! Each of us should keep a handy little distance to his generated image and be in contrast to the rest of corporate uniforms, especially at the weekend.

W nadchodzącym sezonie na naszych ulicach, zdaniem instytutu Pantone, będzie królować zieleń, a dokładnie odcień o nazwie Lush Meadow 18-5845. Czy oznacza to, że zieleń rzeczywiście pojawi się w Polskich miastach w sezonie Jesień/Zima 16/17? Lansowany kolor jest trudny i moim zdaniem niewdzięczny, szczególnie, jeśli chodzi o sektor mody męskiej, natomiast triumf zieleni wieszczyłem jeszcze w zeszłym roku i jak widać miałem rację. Mam nadzieję, że w nadchodzącym sezonie na polskich ulicach zagoszczą „zgniłe” lub „butelkowe” odcienie zieleni. Mam nadzieję, że zieleń powtórzy zeszłoroczny sukces Marsali, która miała głośne wejście i utrzymała swoją pozycję aż do końca sezonu Jesień/ Zima 15/16, na co miał z pewnością wpływ raport kolorystyczny Pantone.

Od jakiegoś czasu zapowiadałem materiał, którego filarem będzie zielony płaszcz.  W zeszłym roku wieszczyłem wielki powrót oraz modę na jesienne płaszcze wiązane w talii i po raz kolejny moja intuicja nie zawiodła. W tegorocznych look book’ach zachodnich marek znajdziemy wiązane płaszcze w jesiennych odcieniach beży, zieleni czy szarości.

Prezentowany płaszcz pochodzi z najnowszej kolekcji ZARY, jego głównym atutem jest piękny kolor oraz rzetelne wykonanie w stosunku do ceny. Klasyczna linia, w połączeniu z odpowiednim kolorem tworzą idealną, jesienną całość. Zieleń jest wyjątkowo uniwersalnym, niezobowiązującym kolorem, który pozwala na tworzenie wielu różnorodnych outfitów. W przypadku dzisiejszego looku, zieleń płaszcza została zestawiona z czernią, brązem i różowym złotem. Na jesienną pogodę idealnym rozwiązaniem są golfy, które również coraz częściej, co bardzo mnie cieszy, pojawiają się w stałych ofertach sklepów, niezależnie od bieżących kolekcji. Golf potrafi być najlepszym przyjacielem w chłodniejszy dzień czy jesienny wieczór. Prezentowany zestaw jest bardzo street’owy i luźny, natomiast lekka zmiana, polegająca na wymianie spodni, pozwoli nadać mu bardziej classicowego charakteru. Jasne, jeansowe spodnie to produkt wyjątkowo uniwersalny, który możemy wykorzystać zawsze, bez względu na pogodę. W połączeniu ze skórzanymi sztybletami idealnie wpisują się w jesienny krajobraz. Prezentowany look jest bardzo prosty, chciałem, żeby głównym akcentem był płaszcz. To bardzo ważna zasada w kreowaniu poszczególnych looków – zastanówmy się, na czym chcemy skupić uwagę tak, aby nagle jeden element nie walczył z drugim o dominację nad całym zestawem.

Przed nami wrzesień i październik, miesiące, kiedy niestety musimy zacząć myśleć o zimowej, a z pewnością o jesiennej garderobie. Dlatego postawiłem przygotować cykl wpisów dotyczących płaszczy odpowiednio wcześniej, tak, aby pomóc Wam podjąć decyzję dotyczącą wyboru jesienno-zimowej garderoby.

According to The Pantone Institute, in the upcoming season our streets will be dominated by greenery and a careful shade called Lush Meadow 18-5845. Does this mean that green will actually appear in the autumn/winter 16/17 in the Polish cities? In reality, the colour is difficult and in my opinion, ungrateful, especially when it comes to the men’s fashion sector. Incidentally, if you are a regular reader you will see that the triumph of green was prophesied even last year, and as you can see I was right. I hope that in the coming season, the Polish streets will host the „rotten” or „bottle” shades of green. I also hope that the green repeats last year’s colour success of Marsala, which was a loud entrance and maintained it’s position until the end of the season Autumn / Winter 15/16, which was certainly impacted by the Pantone color report.

For some time I have been talking about new material with this new green coat. Last year, I prophesied a great return to fashion for an autumn coat tied at the waist and once again my intuition did not disappoint. In this year’s Lookbook, western brands have found knotted coats in autumnal shades of beige, green or grey.
The coat that I present to you is from the latest collection of Zara, its main asset is the beautiful color and reliable performance for the money. A classic line, in conjunction with the appropriate colour, create a perfect combination for the whole autumn. Green is an extremely versatile, non committal color that allows you to create many different outfits. In the case of today’s look, the green jacket was paired with black, brown and pink-gold colours. For autumn weather, the ideal solution is turtlenecks, which are becoming more easily found across many shops, regardless of the current collection. The turtleneck, or polo neck as it is known in the UK, can be your best friend in a cooler day or autumn evening. In the accompanying photos you can see the style is quite street and loose, but with a small change you can easily exchange the jeans for trousers and create a more classical look and character. Sure, jeans are an extremely versatile product that can be used through the year, regardless of the weather. With the inclusion of leather Chelsea boots, the look perfectly fits into the autumnal landscape.

 My presented look is very simple, I wanted to focus on the main coat. This is a very important principle in the creation of this individual look – try to establish where we want to focus attention, so that suddenly one element does not fight with the other for domination of the whole set.

Unfortunately, with September and October months before us we have to start thinking about winter, and certainly for the autumn wardrobe. That is why I prepare and present to you a series of posts about coats in advance, to help you decide on your selection of the autumn-winter wardrobe.

Koniec sierpnia, jak co roku, wywołuje u mnie lekką nostalgię spowodowaną niechybnym końcem, i tak krótkiego, polskiego lata. Jest to czas przesilenia oraz dynamicznych zmian pogody, co często niesie za sobą duże amplitudy temperatur. Dzisiejszy wpis jest pierwszym z cyklu postów, w których chciałbym zaproponować Wam parę ciekawych rozwiązań na nadchodząca jesień. Odpowiednią garderobę warto kompletować z lekkim wyprzedzeniem, co uchroni nas przed zbędnym czy nieprzemyślanym zakupem. Dzisiejszy zestaw to bardzo klasyczny komplet, na który składa się kilka podstawowych elementów męskiej garderoby, które z pewnością masz w swojej szafie. Jeśli jest inaczej, to teraz właśnie nadszedł czas, aby to naprawić i pomyśleć o tym jak chcesz prezentować się nadchodzącej jesieni.

Granatowy garnitur to zestaw, który pozwoli Ci poczuć się komfortowo zarówno podczas oficjalnego wyjścia, jak i mniej formalnego spotkania. O uniwersalności tego koloru wspominałem już kilkakrotnie na blogu, dziś chciałbym się skupić na kwestii konstrukcji garnituru. Odpowiednio skrojona marynarka, a co najważniejsze, idealny krój spodni sprawiają, że nie krępuje ruchów i pozwala czuć się swobodnie w każdej sytuacji. Wiem, że spartaczony krój garnituru to duży i częsty problem, z którym wielu z nas boryka się podczas wyboru idealnego modelu.

Odpowiednia szerokość nogawki sprawi, że spodnie będą lekko opadać, nie opinając naszej nogi, co zapewni komfort. Odpowiednia jakość wełny pozwoli na łatwiejsze zestawianie i dopasowywanie garnituru do innych części naszej garderoby. Prezentowany garnitur pochodzi z kolekcji marki Adam Feliks Próchnik . W przypadku dzisiejszego zestawu ważne są również dodatki, które uzupełniają całość i dodają jej wyrazistości.

Krawat i poszetka, bo w tym wypadku o nich mowa, kontrastują z granatem garnituru. Natomiast zadbałem o to, żeby oba elementy dobrze, ze sobą harmonizowały. Włoska jakość oraz dbałość o szczegół sprawiają że prezentowane dodatki pozwalają poczuć się naprawę wyjątkowo. Oczywiście nie sposób nie wspomnieć o płaszczu, który już kilkukrotnie pojawił się na blogu.

Jest on potwierdzeniem tezy, że produkt o dobrej jakości, z wysokiej klasy wełny może nam służyć przez lata i zupełnie nie straci swojego uroku. The end of August, as with every year, makes me feel slightly nostalgic due to the inevitable end of a seemingly short Polish year. This is the time of unpredictable, dynamic weather changes, which often entails a large temperature variation. Today’s post is the first in a series where I would like to offer you a couple of ideal solutions for the upcoming autumn. Appropriate wardrobe consideration should be completed in advance of the season, protecting us from unnecessary or ill buying. Today’s outfit is a classic set, which consists of several basic elements of the male wardrobe, which surely you have in your closet. If it is not, you are just in time to fix it and think about how you want to present yourself during this Autumn.

The dark blue suit is a set that will make you feel comfortable both during the official day, as well as less formal meetings. The versatility of the colour has already been mentioned several times on the blog therefore today I want to focus on the issue of the construction of the suit. Appropriately a tailored jacket and, most import_antly, perfectly fit trousers enables the suit to not restrict movement, and allows you to feel at ease in any situation. I know that a bungled cut suit is a big and frequent problem that many of us have faced when choosing the ideal model. The corresponding width of the legs make the pants fall slightly, not tight fitting our legs, which give us comfort. The quality of the wool in the suit allows for easier matching to other parts of our wardrobe. In the case of today’s accessories they are also import_ant additions that complement the whole and give it clarity.

The tie and pocket-square are in contrast with the suit. On the other hand, I have taken care that both elements will harmonize with each other. Of course, we cannot forget about the coat, which has repeatedly appeared on the blog. It is confirmation of the thesis that a product of good quality and with high-quality wool can serve us for years yet not completely lose its charm. The final complement and ‚icing on the cake’ is burgundy woollen scarf, woven on Lake Como, which I purchased during my recent trip to Italy. Perhaps many of you are surprised at the autumn colours in this post, but I’m afraid that whether we like it or not, Autumn is already lurking around the corner

Grey Does Not Have to Be Boring / Szary garnitur nie musi być nudny!

Many of us associate The Grey Suit with boredom and a lack of ideas or invention. I think that grey has got wrongly labelled as boring and that the people who wore the shade were without character. With this in mind, why have I decided to use gray in today’s styling?

Summer is fast approaching, and mostly due to the high temperatures it is the time when dark colors must be temporarily hung up and put away. Certainly for many of us, the warm Summer months is the time when we wear all shades of beige and khaki, and sometimes we even reach for the pastel colours. A colour to triumph this season is holy green, where more and more shades appear on store shelves. But let’s talk about the green at another time, – back to grey.

As a blonde, I’m a fan of all shades of grey, you ask why? Each of us has a certain type of beauty – eye color, skin tone, and most importantly when choosing the colour of clothes, hair color. I’m blond with blue eyes, so I can not risk a lot of colors, that are available to men with darker hair. Paradoxically, very little attention is paid to a proper selection of colours in men’s fashion, and yet the principles that should guide us are identical to women’s fashion. As for me, grey allows me to highlight both the eye color and for it to not be in contrast with my tinge of the skin, which if I am careful will save me from either death’s effect white or pink face.

Today’s outfit is a combination of the three simple shades, namely, grey, white and black. The dominant color is grey, of course, while the white shirt complements it and black is present only in the form of supplements. Some could say that this is dull or a not very Summery, but I composed the sets as a smart casual outfit, which we can freely coordinate by changing, for example, a shirt for a t-shirt.

An important issue in this type of styling are additions or accessories. These help create the final styling impression, when the same base would seem too simple and not very interesting. In today’s styling I made a light mix, I used a white pocket square, black sneakers and a quill pen. I was wondering if I should wear white socks but, instead, I put on the proven grey. It is completed by an elegant watch with a silver envelope in the black bar. This is one of the product categories of ‚must haves’, because there is nothing more universal than the combination of silver and black.

Szary garnitur wielu z nas kojarzy się z nudą i brakiem pomysłu czy inwencji. Ja uważam, że szary bardzo niesłusznie dostał łatkę koloru nudziarzy i ludzi bez charakteru. Dlaczego postanowiłem użyć szarości w dzisiejszej stylizacji?

Lato zbliża się wielkimi krokami, a to czas, kiedy ciemne kolory, głównie z racji wysokich temperatur, muszą chwilowo zostać odwieszone w głąb szafy. Z pewnością dla wielu z nas ciepły, letni czas to moment, kiedy nosimy wszelkie odcienie beży i khaki, a czasem sięgamy nawet po pastele. Triumfy w tym sezonie święci zieleń, której coraz to nowe odcienie pojawiają się na sklepowych półkach. Ale o zieleni innym razem, wróćmy do tematu.

Jako blondyn, jestem fanem wszelkich szarości, zapytacie dlaczego? Każdy z nas posiada pewien typ urody – kolor oczu, odcień skóry oraz, bardzo ważny przy odpowiednim doborze palety kolorystycznej ubrań, kolor włosów. Jestem blondynem z lekko niebieskimi oczami, więc nie mogę sobie pozwolić na wiele kolorów, po które mogą sięgać bruneci. Paradoksalnie, bardzo mało uwagi poświęca się tematyce odpowiedniego doboru barw w modzie męskiej, a przecież zasady, którymi powinniśmy się kierować są identyczne, jak w przypadku mody damskiej. Jeśli chodzi o mnie, szarość pozwala mi uwydatnić zarówno kolor oczu, jak i nie kontrastuje z odcieniem skóry, co ustrzegło mnie przed efektem trupiej bieli czy różowego lica.

 Dzisiejszy outfit to połączenie trzech podstawowych kolorów, a mianowicie szarości, bieli i czerni. Dominującym kolorem jest oczywiście szary, uzupełnia go biel w postaci t-shirt a/ koszuli, a czerń występuje jedynie pod postacią dodatków. Może powiecie że nudno czy mało letnio, ale skomponowałem te zestawy jako outfity casual i smart casual, które możemy dowolnie koordynować poprzez zmianę na przykład koszuli na t-shirt. Ważną kwestią w tego typu stylizacjach są dodatki. To one zadecydują o ostatecznym wrażeniu, jakie wywiera stylizacja, kiedy sama baza wydawać by się mogło jest dość prosta i mało interesująca. W dzisiejszej stylizacji dokonałem lekkiego wymieszania, wykorzystałem białą poszetkę , czarne trampki oraz gęsie pióro.

Zastanawiałem się czy aby nie założyć białych skarpetek, ale jednak postawiłem na sprawdzoną szarość. Całość dopełnia zegarek ze srebrną kopertą na czarnym pasku. Jest to jeden z produktów kategorii ‘must have’, ponieważ nie ma bardziej uniwersalnego połączenia niż srebro, szarość i czerń.

In today’s entry, I would like to present a style that slightly differs from what is usually presented on my blog. Some time ago, I had the great pleasure to live in Paris, on Ile Saint-Louis, where every day I was in contact with the best-dressed Parisians. Parisian fashion designers developed a style and sophisticated taste that is reflected in both the women’s and men’s fashion. In my opinion Parisian chic is second to none. What is the charm of this? Of course, simplicity and pure form.

A Parisian man is dressed but not over dressed, he looks neat and elegant, but not conspicuous. It is characterized by prudence in the selection of colors and ascetic approach to accessories. A Parisian man looks like he just ran out of the house, late for work, without much preparation, but no one could be offended by his appearance. For several months I had the opportunity to observe the Parisians – certainly their behavior and style is radically different from the shouting and colorful Italians or the calm and conservative Englishmen.

Parisians are like mist – silent, mysterious and very magical. In today’s styling I decided to use an item that is adored by the French – a black turtleneck. Additionally, it has been paired with a double-breasted suit in ashen grenade color. On the streets of Poland, I am sad to observe that I am not met with similar combinations so I thought that maybe by presenting this outfit on the blog, I will encourage some of you to wear a similar combination of clothing from your wardrobe. For my non-Polish readers, I have similar words of encouragement, although you may already be wearing such classic clothing or be from Paris. J

I have already presented this suit in one of my previous entries, so I will not devote much attention to it. It is characterized by the polo-neck jumper, that Polish men have tried to avoid. What can we say about the polo neck; its advantages are convenience and consisting of a less formal character, that with the right combination from other parts of our wardrobe, allows you to create interesting and classic looks. In today’s outfit I used the white pocket handkerchief to gently illuminate the dark figure and black lacquered loafers that give lightness to the whole styling.

This outfit is ideal for less formal events or meetings. When preparing the photographic material to today’s entry I met with some very nice reactions from passers-by on my styling, so I think that the streets of Poland are ready to embrace men’s fashion with a little bit of French style. Years ago, Warsaw was called the Paris of the North so let us try to reclaim that title.

   W dzisiejszym wpisie przybliżę styl, który z pewnością lekko odbiega od tego, co zazwyczaj prezentuję na blogu. Jakiś czas temu, miałem ogromną przyjemność mieszkać w Paryżu na ile Saint Luis, gdzie na co dzień miałem styczność z najlepiej ubranymi Paryżanami. Paryscy kreatorzy wypracowali styl i wysublimowany smak, który znajduje odzwierciedlenie zarówno w modzie damskiej, jak i męskiej. Moim zdaniem paryski szyk nie ma sobie równych. W czym tkwi ten urok? Oczywiście w prostocie i czystej formie. Paryski mężczyzna jest ubrany a nie przebrany, wygląda schludnie i elegancko, ale nie rzuca się w oczy. Cechują go rozwaga w doborze kolorystyki oraz ascetyczne podejście do dodatków. Paryski mężczyzna wygląda jakby właśnie wybiegł z domu, spóźniony do pracy, bez większych przygotowań, jednak jego wygląd nie pozostawia zastrzeżeń.

Przez kilka miesięcy miałem możliwość obserwowania Paryżan – z pewnością ich zachowanie i styl diametralnie różni się od rozkrzyczanych i kolorowych Włochów czy spokojnych i konserwatywnych Anglików. Paryżanie i Paryżanki są jak mgła – cicha, tajemnicza i bardzo magiczna. W dzisiejszej stylizacji postanowiłem wykorzystać uwielbiany przez Francuzów czarny golf. Dodatkowo został on zestawiony z dwurzędowym garniturem w kolorze popielatego granatu. Na polskiej ulicy nie spotkałem się z podobnym połączeniem i była to smutna konstatacja, dlatego uznałem, że może dzięki prezentacji tego outfit’u na blogu, zachęcę niektórych z Was do podobnego połączenia elementów swojej garderoby.

Garnitur był już prezentowany w jednym z poprzednich wpisów, dlatego nie będę poświęcał mu większej uwagi. Elementem charakterystycznym jest golf, który przez polskich mężczyzn został zepchnięty na margines. Cóż można powiedzieć na temat golfu, jego zaletami są wygoda i mniej formalny charakter, który przy odpowiednim połączeniu z innymi częściami naszej garderoby pozwala stworzyć ciekawy i niesztampowy look. W dzisiejszym outficie wykorzystałem białą poszetkę, która lekko rozświetla ciemną sylwetkę oraz czarne, lakierowane laofersy, które nadają lekkości całej stylizacji.

Outfit ten jest idealnym rozwiązaniem na mniej formalne uroczystości czy spotkania. Podczas przygotowania materiału zdjęciowego do dzisiejszego wpisu spotkałem się z niezwykle miłymi reakcjami przechodniów dotyczącymi mojej stylizacji, dlatego myślę, że polska ulica jest przygotowana, aby wprowadzić w modę męska odrobinę francuskiego stylu. Przed laty Warszawa była nazywana Paryżem Północy a to zobowiązuje;)

W ostatnim czasie otrzymałem od Was kilka pytań na temat tego jak się ubrać na wesele. Otóż odpowiedź jest bardzo prosta i może wydawać się trywialna. Gość weselny musi wyglądać schludnie i elegancko! Główną zasadą oraz wyznacznikiem dobrego wychowania będzie zadbanie przede wszystkim o komfortowe samopoczucie ‚Pana młodego’, więc jeśli gospodarz ma zamiar włożyć na przykład smoking, nie konkurujmy z nim i postawmy na klasyczny garnitur. Wszelkie odcienie granatu i czerni będą idealnie współgrały z charakterem uroczystości. Jeśli mamy już ustalony strój bazowy, pora na kolejne elementy.

Koszula – najczęściej wybierany w ostatnim czasie model slim lub super slim potrafi w bardzo atrakcyjny sposób podkreślić naszą sylwetkę. Podczas dokonywania zakupu zwróćcie uwagę na krój, dobrze dobrany może w pozytywny sposób modelować waszą sylwetkę, dzięki czemu osiągnięcie efektu szerszych ramion i klatki piersiowej będzie zdecydowanie łatwiejsze. Kolory to kwestia indywidualna, oczywiście nie zalecam zbyt dużej ekstrawagancji i jestem zwolennikiem bieli, ewentualnie odcieni błękitów. Oczywistym jest wybór koszuli z długim rękawem. W zależności od stopnia formalności lub osobistych upodobań, koszula może być zapinana na guziki lub spinki.

Czas na dodatki:

• Mucha – W ostatnim czasie renesans przeżywają muchy i to bardzo miły trend. Tylko Panowie, jeśli już wybieracie ten element to pamiętajcie, że gotowa, uszyta mucha na pasku, to nic innego jak krawat na gumce, w który ubierały nas mamy na bal karnawałowy w podstawówce. Wiązanie muchy to prosta czynność, niewymagająca zbyt wiele wysiłku oraz wiedzy.

• Krawat – Jeżeli wybieramy krawat mamy tutaj większą dowolność w wyborze modelu, osobiście proponuje wybrać krawat szerszy, ale dobrany tak, aby odpowiednio korespondował z szerokością klap. Zarysowane w ten sposób proporcje, również w pozytywny sposób potrafią skorygować optycznie naszą sylwetkę. Krawat zdecydowanie nie powinien być idealnie dobrany do koloru i faktury sukienki partnerki.

• Poszetka – Element, po który mężczyźni sięgają coraz częściej, ciekawe urozmaicenie, które z reguły dodaje polotu męskim stylizacjom. Największym nieporozumieniem są komplety – krawat i poszetka – wykonane z tego samego materiału, które oferują polskie sklepy. Nie idźmy tą drogą!!! Poszetka i krawat to nie bliźnięta syjamskie, które są identyczne. Ich kolory mogą być podobne, mogą się uzupełniać, ale w żadnym wypadku nie powinny być identyczne

• Skarpety –  Główna zasada jest taka, aby kolor skarpetki współgrał z kolorem spodni, jest to bezpieczne rozwiązanie. Oczywiście dla tych z nas, którzy bardziej lubią eksperymenty, producenci oferują całą gamę finezyjnych kolorów i wzorów, wybór jest więc kwestią osobistych preferencji

• Pasek – Powinien być dobrany odpowiednio do koloru butów, a te w przypadku okazji imprez wieczorowych powinny być czarne.

Tych kilka prostych zasad pozwoli Ci zachować odpowiedni charakter twojego outfit’u oraz sprawić, że będziesz czuł się komfortowo podczas całego wieczoru.

Recently, I have received a few questions from you regarding how to dress for a wedding. The answer is very simple and may seem trivial: Wedding Guests must look neat and elegant! The main principle and an intention of good manners will be to ensure all about making the groom feel comfortable and not to be in direct competition with him. So if the host is going to be dressed, for example, in a smoking jacket, then let us put on a classic suit. All shades of navy and black will perfectly complement, not only the host, but also the character of the celebration. So now we have established the core outfit, its time to move onto the next part.

Shirt – the most popular recent models, slim or super slim, can emphasize our figure in a very attractive way. When making a purchase, note the cut of the shirt – when well-chosen it can positively shape your silhouette, so that economies of broader shoulders and chest will be much kinder. Colors is an individual matter, of course –  I do not recommend too much extravagance, and I am a supporter of white, or shades of blues. The obvious choice is a shirt with long sleeves. Depending on the degree of formality or personal preference, the shirt can be fastened with buttons or pins.

Time for extra:

• Bowties – recently experiencing a renaissance and a very nice trend. Gentlemen, if you have chosen this item to wear, then remember a ready made bow-tie is nothing but a tie on elastic, in which we have dressed for a carnival in primary school. Tying the flies on a bow-tie is a simple task that doesn’t requires too much effort and knowledge.

• A necktie – If you choose this tie then you have greater flexibility in choosing the model. I personally propose choosing a wider model, but also chosen so as to properly corresponded to the width of your shirt collar. Outlined in these proportions, it can positively optically adjust our figure. The tie should definitely not be identically matched to the color and texture of your partner’s dress.

•  Pocket square – Now is the trend for men to take notice of the pocket square on the suit and can add interesting variety, which generally adds panache to the male style. The biggest misconception is to buy sets – tie and pocket square – made of the same material, which many Polish shops offer. Do not let us go that way!!! Pocket squares and ties are not Siamese twins, which are identical. Their colors may be similar, can complement, but in no case should be identical.

• socks – The main rule is that the color of socks harmonise with the color of your trousers – this is a safe solution. Of course, for those of us who like to experiment, the manufactures and shops offer a whole range of subtle colors and patterns, so the choice is a matter of personal preference.

• The belt – The belt should be selected according to the color of shoes, and those for the occasion of the evening events should be black.

W dzisiejszym wpisie chciałem zwrócić Waszą uwagę na ostatnio bardzo często poruszany aspekt łączenia stylów.  Coraz częściej na ulicach miast w całej Europie, możemy zauważyć stale rosnący trend mieszania się elementów garderoby klasycznej z tymi zarezerwowanymi dla odzieży sportowej. Jaki jest cel takich zabiegów? Z pewnością na pierwszym miejscu takiego rozwiązania plasuje się wygoda, w szczególności dotyczy to obuwia. Kolejnym punktem są walory estetyczne, które pozwalają tym mniej przekonanym do outfit’ów klasycznych, sięgnąć jednak po pewne jego elementy. Jest to trend, który wykorzystują młodzi mężczyźni w pewnym wieku, z moich obserwacji wynika, że do około 40 roku życia. Wynika to z pewnych uwarunkowań, mężczyzna po 40 może wyglądać zabawnie w tak skoordynowanym outficie . Oczywiście wszystko jest kwestią odpowiedniego wykorzystania, natomiast dowolne łączenie jest akceptowalne do pewnego momentu.

Dzisiejszy outfit składa się z kilku podstawowych elementów, które pochodzą z różnych segmentów. Klasyczna dyplomatka została połączona z wełnianymi spodniami w szarym kolorze, dodatkowo uzupełniona jeansową kurtką. Osobiście uważam, że w polskich realiach pogodowych warstwowe koordynowanie swojego stroju to bardzo przydatna umiejętność. Dzięki kilku warstwom możemy dowolnie zmieniać nasz outfit oraz dopasowywać go do aktualnie panującej temperatury.

In today’s post I wanted to draw your attention to the recent and very often used trend of combining and borrowing styles. Across Europe’s city streets we have seen a steadily growing trend of mixing men’s classic styling along with items that are usually reserved for sportswear. What is the purpose of such experiments? Certainly, convenience is a big reason – especially regarding footwear. Another point, is the aesthetic qualities that allows the less convinced among us to reach out beyond their classical wardrobe and to borrow some elements of sport styling. In my observation, it is a trend that younger men, below 40 years old, are adopting. Of course, this is due to certain circumstances, some may consider that a man of 40 may look funny in sneakers. Everything is a matter of appropriate use and personal preference but, to a certain point, any combination is acceptable.

Today’s outfit consists of a few basic elements that come from diverse styling. A classic diplomat or business coat has been combined with some grey wool trousers, additionally the whole outfit was supplemented with a denim jacket. Personally, I think that coordinating your outfit with layers is a very useful skill considering the realities of Polish weather. Thanks to a few layers, we can freely change our outfit and match it to the currently prevailing temperature.

Today’s whole outfit, that you can see in the photographs, is nothing but a combination of street styling with a smart casual character. Long have I thought about using athletic footwear and aesthetically I had many doubts, but after a day of running around the city, this solution get’s the best review and recommendation.

Garnitur z sieciówki – wady i zalety /Suits from Chain Stores -pros and cons

Długo zastanawiałem się czy poruszyć ten temat na blogu. Wielu znawców mody męskiej oświadczyło, że garnitury z sieciówek to produkty niewarte uwagi, a ich zakup to pieniądze wyrzucone w błoto. Myślę jednak, że uczciwie będzie przyznać się, że posiadam w swojej szafie garnitury, które kupiłem w sieciówkach. Określeniem „sieciówki” nazywam marki, których sklepy znajdują się na terenie całego kraju. Moja przygoda z garniturami rozpoczęła się właśnie od modelu, który zakupiłem w dużym brandzie odzieżowym, potentacie rynku światowego. Na tamte czasy był to wymarzony model w fasonie ‘slim’, który paradoksalnie jeszcze kilka lat temu ciężko było dostać. Co dobrego mogę powiedzieć o tym garniturze? Był on jedynym, który odpowiadał mi zarówno pod względem rozmiaru jak i fasonu. Na tym niestety realne zalety się kończą! Poza świetną kampanią promocyjną, producent zadbał w stu procentach o parszywie paskudna tkaninę (poliester/wiskoza) i bardzo zły krój. Oczywiście darzę ten garnitur ogromnym sentymentem i do dziś wisi na zaszczytnym miejscu w mojej szafie.

Dziś paradoksalnie mimo większego rozeznania rynku oraz świadomości produktowej popełniłem podobny błąd jak kilka lat temu. Wtedy byłem nieświadomym konsumentem, a dziś pozostało mi się tylko śmiać z własnej naiwności. Dzięki reklamie na jednym z portali społecznościowych natknąłem się na pięknie przygotowana kampanię reklamową garniturów jednej z wiodących marek na naszym rynku. Po przeczytaniu wstępnej specyfikacji produktu szybko podjąłem decyzje o zakupie. Błyskawicznie wybrałem model i rozmiar, zajęło mi to maksymalnie 5 minut włącznie z przelewem. Hmmm… chyba oczekiwałem, że garnitur będzie wyglądał tak jak na prezentowanych zdjęciach. Z pewnością można to nazwać szałem zakupów;) Po kilku dniach otrzymałem perfekcyjnie zapakowana przesyłkę, ale niestety w momencie otwarcia pudełka czar prysł. Zacznę od plusów;) Niewątpliwie przesyłka była dostarczona w terminie! Wełna, z którego została uszyta marynarka i spodnie nie powaliła mnie na kolana, ale w tym przedziale cenowym nie spodziewałem się niczego lepszego. Niestety na tym plusy dotyczące produktu się kończą. Minusów było zdecydowanie więcej; ( może łatwiej będzie przedstawić je w punktach:

• Jakość wykonania –niechlujne szwy oraz niskiej, jakości nici przyczyniły się do szybkich pęknięć spodni • Krój – Zarówno marynarka jak i spodnie, w związku z brakiem odpowiedniej techniki kroju, wyglądała niechlujnie, co zaowocowało pomarszczeniem materiału i fałdami

• Brak zachowania poprawnej konstrukcji, która jest niezwykle ważnym elementem w modelowaniu naszej sylwetki

• Garnitur, co oczywiste był wygnieciony z racji transportu jednak pierwszy raz spotkałem się z sytuacją gdzie nie widział on pary w procesie produkcji. Bez pary czy odpowiedniego procesu prasowania nie możemy mówić o realnym obrazie produktu. Zszyte kawałki materiału niczym nie przypominały garnitury, który zakupiłem sugerując się prezentowanym zdjęciem.

Oczywiście zarzekałem się, że dokonam zwrotu towaru, który oczywiście był możliwy, ale nie należę do konsumentów, którzy odsyłają zamówione rzeczy, dlatego garnitur został u mnie. Uznałem, że jeśli już jest, to muszę coś z nim zrobić. Dzięki całej masie poprawek krawieckich (osobiście uważam, że garnitur został uszyty od zera) efekt finalny nie był zachwycający, ale udało się poprawić to, co należało.

Cała ta historia kosztowała mnie sporo pieniędzy a jeszcze więcej nerwów. Była to najlepsza nauczka na przyszłość. Osobiście nie jestem klientem, który może dokonywać zakupów tej kategorii produktów przez Internet i z pewnością nigdy więcej nie podejmę takiej decyzji pod wpływam impulsu. Co do garniturów, z „sieciówek”, ich cena jest najczęściej nieadekwatna do jakości. Oczywiście sklepy oferują produkty z serii limitowanych, głośno nazywane high-quality, których jakość oraz wykonanie ma nas zaskoczyć na plus. Wyżej opisywany garnitur pochodził właśnie z takiej serii, dlatego boję się zgadywać, jak wyglądają produkty spoza edycji limitowanych/high-quality;)

I have long wondered whether I should raise this issue on my blog. Many experts in men’s fashion have stated that suits sold in chain stores are unworthy of your attention, and their purchase is money down the drain. But it is fair to admit that I have bought these suits recently and they can be found hanging in my wardrobe. Many of these “chain stores”, that I make reference to, are located throughout Poland and most other European cities.

My adventure with these suits began with one of the biggest brands in the world, one of the market leaders. At the time of purchase, the suit was a dream model in fashion – ‚slim’, which, surprisingly, a few years ago was hard to purchase. What good can I say about this suit? It was the only one that I had wanted, in terms of both size and fashion. However, the benefits ended there! Besides a great promotional campaign, the manufacturer had also been responsible for one hundred percent of the lousy ugly fabric (polyester/ viscose) and a very bad cut. Of course, I still have a great fondness for this suit and it still hangs in an honorable place in my closet. Today, paradoxically, despite my greater market knowledge and awareness of the product, I have made a similar mistake to the one I had a few years ago. Back then I was an unconscious consumer, but now I am still faced with laughing at my own naiveté. Through some advertising on one of the social networking sites I came across a beautifully prepared campaign from one of the leading suit brands in the market.

After reading the initial product specification I hastily made the decision to purchase that suit. Instantly I chose the model and size, it took me a maximum of 5 minutes (including the delivery details).

Hmmm … I guess I expected the suit to look like the photos on the website. I guess you could call it a frenzy of shopping 😉 After a few days, I received a perfectly wrapped package, but unfortunately at the moment of opening the box, the spell was broken! I’ll start with the pros 😉 Undoubtedly, the product had been delivered within the time limit! And although the Wool fabric, of the jacket and trousers, had not knocked me to my knees, at this price I was not expecting anything better. Unfortunately, the pros on the product end! There were clearly far more negatives.

It may be easier to present them in points:

• The quality of the bad seams and low quality threads contributed to rapid breaks and gaps in the trousers.
• Cut – Both the jacket and trousers, in the absence of proper cutting technique, looked slovenly, which have resulted in creased material and folds .
• No structural behavior, which is an extremely important element in modeling our silhouette.
• Although the suit had evidently become crumpled through the transportation, it was also clear that as soon as I had opened the packaging the manufacturer had not used steam in the production process. Without steam or suitable compacting process, we can not say that this is a real suit! They are stitched pieces of fabric, but nothing like the suit that was shown within the advertising photographs.

Of course, the company insisted they would make a refund of the goods, which admittedly was possible, but I do not belong to the group of consumers who return their purchases. Therefore, I decided to do something about it – I would become the tailor!

Thanks to a mass of self initiated sewing amendments (I personally think that a suit has to be tailored from scratch), the final result was not amazing, but managed to improve on the original. The whole thing cost me a lot of money and even more nerves! It has been the best lesson for the future. Personally, I am not a customer, who will purchase this type of product over the Internet and I will never undertake such a decision on impulse. As for the suits from the „chain stores”, their price usually reflect inferior quality. Of course, stores will offer products in limited series, loudly called ‘high-quality’, but the quality and performance has greatly surprised me. The above-described suit came precisely from such a series, so I’m afraid to think how the other products will look outside the limited edition/high-quality range. 😉

Wełniany Golf – jak i do czego go nosić/Styling a Wool Turtleneck Jumper

Wszyscy lubimy wiosnę i jest to fakt niezaprzeczalny! Łagodny wiatr i pierwsze ciepłe promienie słońca sprawiają, że chcemy zapomnieć o mrozach i śnieżnym krajobrazie. Wiosna jednak bywa bardzo zdradliwa, dlatego mino atrakcyjnej pogody musimy pamiętać o ciepłych okryciach, które uchronią nas przed przeziębieniem. Idealną częścią naszego outfit’u, która znakomicie sprawdzi się podczas kapryśnej wiosennej pogody jest wełniany golf. Od dłuższego czasu szukałem ciepłego modelu z charakterystycznym splotem. W jednym z neapolitańskich sklepów udało mi się dostać golf w upragnionym przeze mnie kolorze.

Gołębi szary, bo o nim mowa, to kolor idealny. Jest bardzo neutralny, dlatego łatwo pozwala się dopasować do innych elementów stroju. Golf jest wykonany w 100% z wełny, co zapewnia komfort podczas użytkowania. Dzisiejszy zestaw prezentuje street’owy outfit, który rzadko spotykam na polskich ulicach. W naszym kręgu kulturowym biel jest kolorem wykorzystywanym niezwykle rzadko przez mężczyzn, a szkoda, ponieważ biel jest moim zdaniem dużo ciekawszym kolorem niż często w ostatnim czasie wykorzystywane kolory pastelowe.

Cały zestaw został skomponowany w kolorach bieli, szarości, czerni oraz delikatnego błękitu, który nadaje wiosennej lekkości. Białe spodnie są niezwykle popularne na południu Europy, gdzie mężczyźni noszą je bez względu na porę roku. Jest to trend, który bardzo mi się podoba, niestety z racji klimatu, który panuje w naszym kraju wykorzystanie tego produktu przez okres całego roku jest mało praktyczne, natomiast uważam, że wiosna jest idealną ku temu porą roku. Praktyczność naszych stylizacji musi dorównać ich stylowi, dlatego wybrałem gołębi golf, który idealnie pasuje kolorystycznie do reszty elementów, a dodatkowo chroni przed dość jeszcze chłodnym, wiosennym wiatrem. Dzięki czarnej ramonesce cały outfit nabiera mocniejszego charakteru, który świetnie współgra z miejskim otoczeniem. Wiosną musimy pamiętać również o akcesoriach takich jak szalik czy rękawiczki, które wzbogacają i uzupełniają całość naszego outfit’u.

For a significant amount of time, I have been searching for a warm turtleneck with a distinctive weave and whilst in Naples I was able to find one in my favourite colour, pigeon-grey. The neutral shade of grey is perfect, allowing you to easily coordinate the outfits with a wide range of colours. This turtleneck is made of 100% wool, providing a great deal of comfort and thanks to the generously wide neckline of the jumper, we are allowed to be fully flexible with the choice of shirt underneath.

Today, I have prepared a street outfit, using shades of white that is rarely seen on the Polish streets. It is a pity that in our region, white shades are very rarely worn by men, as I find the colour very interesting. In my opinion, I find this shade more flattering than the more often used pastel colours.

This whole outfit has been coordinated with shades and colours of white, grey, black and blue, giving it a gentle Spring lightness. In Southern Europe, white trousers are extremely popular and can be seen on men, young and old, throughout the year. Although this is a trend that I like, unfortunately due to the climate of Northern Europe, it is not a very practical item of clothing. However, Spring is the ideal time to start wearing these coloured trousers. Trying to mirror the style of Italy, whilst being practical, I have chosen to match the trousers with the pigeon-grey roll-neck jumper – the colour fits perfectly and the jumper also protects against the cold wind.

The whole outfit takes on a more powerful character when adding a leather jacket, that echoes the rebellious nature of The Ramones, perfectly harmonizing with the urban surrounding. In the Spring, we must not forget to take our much needed accessories out with us, such as a scarf or gloves, as they enrich and complement the whole outfit.

Navy coat in combination with the color marsala

There are universal colours for each season. Spring is coming, so our outfits should be lighter and adaptable for the Spring weather. Today’s entry is the first, in the history of the blog, that is written in English – I am very happy about this and I hope it will be a pleasant surprise for you all.

Today’s outfit is a reminder of my Autumn blog entry that referenced the connection of two import_ant colours, that has seen spectacular success in men’s fashion in recent seasons. For many years, grenade has been adored by men all over the world and marsala entered, with a vengeance, into the world of men’s fashion in 2015. Coincidentally, a couple of seasons ago I was able to acquire a suit in that colour. I had thought for a long time on how to effectively present these colours, and to be honest, I was preparing a few approaches to the subject. Today’s outfit is a combination of marsala with grenade, gray and black elements.

With the changing of the seasons, it is the perfect time to use flannel, casual shirts, which will prove ideal in cold weather, along with knitted ties, which are also a typically warmer supplement. A grey ‚slim-fit’ flannel shirt has been compiled with the marsalah coloured suit alongside a woolen coat in navy blue. As you can see, the color of marsala is not as big as a deal as it might seem, and using this shade, it is possible to create interesting, masculine styling.

I am not urging you to buy the whole suit, but marsala coloured trousers, sweaters or scarves can be played into a number of styling. As always, I encourage you to experiment with colours that are unusual for you. Maybe a sweater in a shade of marsala will be your next favourite purchase?
